Introducing the Athenaeum

Introducing the Athenaeum

In ancient Rome, the Athenaeum was a school founded by the emperor Hadrian, designed to pass on the knowledge of ancient times. Today, I want to introduce you to the online Athenaeum, hosted right here on From Daniel’s Desk.

It’s a collection of almost 70 book titles that I’ve personally enjoyed and benefitted from. These books cover a multitude of topics, from Christian biography to history of the Great War, and from political ideologies to accounts of African history. If you are a reader of From Daniel’s Desk, you are sure to find a title that catches your interest.

The Athenaeum is a permanent page on the site. You can find a link to it at the top right-hand side of the page (on a computer-based browser). You can find it on the site menu if you use a smartphone. Or, you could just CLICK HERE to go straight to the collection. Enjoy, and happy reading!
