The LORD is…

…the God who appeared (Genesis 35:1)
…the God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments (Deuteronomy 7:9)
…the God who is in Jerusalem (Ezra 1:3)
…the God who works wonders (Psalm 77:14)
…the God who pleads the cause of his people (Isaiah 51:22)
…the God who made the world and everything in it (Acts 17:24)

And Christians can say, The LORD is…

…the God who answers me in the day of my distress (Gen. 35:3)
…the God who has been with me wherever I have gone (Gen. 35:3)
…the God who has been my shepherd all my life long to his day (Gen. 48:15)
…the God who equipped me with strength (Psalm 18:32)
…the God who made my way blameless (Psalm 18:32)
…the God who fulfills his purpose for me (Psalm 57:2)
…the God who shows me steadfast love (Psalm 59:17)
