The Storyline of Scripture: A New Bible Reading Plan
Would you like to survey the entire story of the Bible without reading the entire book? Perhaps you need a change from your normal Bible reading plan, or you want to review how all the pieces fit together. If so, let me introduce The Storyline of Scripture–a Bible reading plan designed to trace the key events of the biblical narrative.
You might be interested in this Bible reading plan if:
…you’ve never read the Bible and want to see how it all fits together.
…you’re hazy on how the various stories form a unified narrative
…you want a refreshing alternative to your current Bible reading plan.
…you want to explore significant portions of biblical narrative within context.
The Storyline of Scripture emphasizes reading substantial sections of narrative to help you understand the biblical storyline in context. Each daily reading takes about 45-60 minutes—long enough to provide depth without becoming overwhelming.
If you devote about an hour a day, you can complete the plan in 31 days. For a slower pace, reading one chapter per day allows you to finish in a year—with a month to spare for catch-up days (332 chapters total). Prefer listening? The full audio version takes about 25.5 hours to complete. Think of that—you can review the entire biblical narrative in less than a month!
